French Onion Soup - with Fat Free Swiss Cheese

Recipe Serves Three
Ingredients
2 yellow onions, very thinly sliced
1 ½ tbl of butter
½ tbl of flour
2 – 14.5 oz cans of beef broth
2.5 cups of water
2 tbl of cooking sherry (optional)
Dash of Worcestershire sauce
Ground black pepper to taste
1 thick slice of French or Italian bread
2 slices of Borden Fat Free Swiss Cheese
Directions
Heat medium saucepan over medium heat. Add butter. Heat butter until it begins to sizzle. Add onions and fry until golden brown. Sprinkle flour over onions and mix thoroughly. Add broth and water. Stir and mix well.
Add pepper and Worcestershire sauce. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
Toast bread. Place cheese slices on top of toast. Place soup in a tureen and place toast and cheese on top of soup. Place tureen in oven or broiler until the cheese begins to melt. Remove and serve.
