Directions
Preheat 10” stainless steel skillet over medium heat. Season neck bones with salt and pepper and dust lightly in the flour. Once the oil is sizzling, add onions and neck bones. Brown meat lightly on all sides.
Once meat is browned, remove from skillet and reduce heat. Sprinkle four tbls of flour over the entire surface of pan and blend with oil and onions. Add a couple of tbls of water to help blend the mixture.
Continue to add water a little at a time and mix thoroughly with flour until all of the flour is thoroughly blended and forms a loose paste. Add the remaining water of the first two cups, blend thoroughly and simmer on low.
When gravy begins to thicken, add gravy master and stir thoroughly. When gravy thickens again, add remaining two cups of water. When gravy thickens again, salt and pepper and meat and cover tightly.
Simmer meat on low for 1 ½ to 2 hours until meat is very tender.
Serve with rice, mashed potatoes or noodles. Add in extra calories.
