Ingredients
3 oz yams, julienne cut (like regular French fries)
1 pat of butter (1/3 of a quarter tbl)
1/8 tsp table salt (optional)
Directions
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Smear pat of butter to cover the entire baking surface of an aluminum pan or shallow baking dish. Sprinkle optional salt on the bottom of the pan. Place julienne yams in the pan in a single layer (unstacked).
Place fries in oven and bake for five to seven minutes. When fries are browned on one side, turn and brown for an additional five to seven minutes on the opposite side. Remove from oven and serve.
