Recipe yields 6 or more large sausage patties
Ingredients
12 oz Perdue or Shady Brook Farms, 97% fat free, ground turkey (or equivalent)
2 egg whites
2 slices of lite whole wheat bread (40 cals per slice) crumbled into bread crumbs
tbl sage
¼ tsp thyme
½ tbl parseley
½ tsp onion flakes or dried, chopped onion
1 ½ tsp of hot sauce or tobascco (optional)
salt to taste
shake of red crushed red pepper to taste (optional)
Directions
Preheat nonstick skillet over medium heat. Mix all ingredients thoroughly. Measure and form 2 oz each patties. Lower heat and pan fry patties for five minutes on each side.
