Portion -  4.7 oz clams - 7 oz tomatoes - 1/6 box linguini
Serves 4 to 6 (calories calculated for 4 servings only)


2 tbl of extra virgin olive oil

1 - 28 oz can of whole peeled tomatoes (Drained and chopped. Slice lengthwise, then crosswise)

1/2 cup of reserve tomato juice

1/2 tsp of crushed red pepper flakes

3 6.5 oz cans of chopped clams, drained

1 cup of reserve clam juice

1 1/2 tbl of minced or chopped garlic

1 tbl of chopped fresh basil leaves

2 tbls of fresh, finely chopped parseley leaves

1 tsp ground black pepper

salt to taste


In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-low heat. Add garlic and pepper flakes. Cook until the garlic is softened. Add the reserve claim juice, the tomatoes, reserve tomato juice, parseley, basil, salt and pepper.

Bring to a simmer. Cover and let simmer for 15 minutes. Add clams and simmer for 3 minutes.
