Ingredients
10 asparagus spears
olive oil spray
salt to taste (optional)
ground black pepper to taste (optional)
Directions
Clean asparagus and cut or snap off ends. Let asparagus dry. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Use a small aluminum or stainless pan for roasting. Spray pan with olive oil spray. Roll asparagus in the oiled pan.
Season asparagus with salt and pepper. Cover tightly with foil. Roast for 5 minutes or until the spears are tender to a fork but not soggy.
Serving Suggestions
Melt one slice of non-fat yellow cheese or hollandaise sauce (see recipe) over spears. Add in additional calories.
