![]() Garlic Chicken and Bean Sprouts Total Calories per Serving: 194 Fat Calories per Serving: 67 Percent Fat Calories per Serving: 34.54% Portion - 4 oz chicken Recipe Serves three Ingredients 9 oz of boneless, skinless, chicken breast fillets, cubed into 1 inch pieces1 tbl of olive oil 1 ½ cup of bean fresh bean sprouts 2 tbls of water 1 cup of sliced mushrooms ¼ cup of onions, diced 1 tsp of minced garlic soy or teriyaki sauce to taste salt to taste ground black pepper to taste
Directions Simmer 2 tbls of water in a small pan. Add bean sprouts, lower heat to very low and cover pan. Steam for 5 to 10 minutes until tender but still firm. Remove from pan to a strainer.In a medium stainless pan, heat oil over medium heat. In heated oil, add onions and garlic. When onions begin to turn translucent, turn up heat to medium high and add chicken. Brown chicken on both sides. Remove from pan. Lower heat to low. Add mushrooms in pan and mix well with onions and garlic. Cover pan and steam for 5 minutes. Add bean sprouts and chicken, and re-cover pan. Steam for 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Serve with soy or teriyaki sauce to taste.
